Our recording odyssey began at Sonic Consciousness Studios, where we worked closely with Jason Wagner to capture the earliest transmissions of the Orbital Destroyer sound. These sessions laid the foundation—raw energy, heavy riffs, and the first sparks of the cosmic identity that defines our music.
🌌 Guidance from Grammy‑Winning Producer Clark Hagan
From there, the mission expanded under the guidance of Grammy‑winning Nashville producer Clark Hagan. His precision, experience, and finely tuned ear helped shape those raw elements into something powerful and intentional. Clark pushed us deeper into our sound, refining the core of what Orbital Destroyer truly is.
But what most of you don’t know is that the mission didn’t end there — it expanded.
🔥 Enter Glenn Fricker — Mixing our Debut Album
We are beyond excited to reveal that metal legend engineer Glenn Fricker is currently mixing our debut album.
Fricker is a veteran Canadian recording engineer and the owner of Spectre Sound Studios, operating out of Ontario with more than 20 years of experience recording hard rock and metal acts professionally.
He is also the creator of the massive SpectreSoundStudios YouTube channel, home to over 650,000 subscribers, where he teaches musicians how to record heavy music with honesty, clarity, and zero gimmicks.
His philosophy is famously straightforward: No pitch correction. No time alignment. No fakery. Just real musicianship captured with power. That ethos aligns perfectly with the Orbital Destroyer mission.
🌟 The Last Pass Through the Stargate - Mastering by Maor Appelbaum
To complete the holy trinity of sonic destruction, the final polish on the album will be handled by mastering legend Maor Appelbaum.
Appelbaum is known worldwide for mastering work across metal, rock, and beyond — shaping records for artists ranging from Faith No More to Sepultura to Dream Theater. His mastering touch is recognized for clarity, weight, and massive dynamic presence.
